• PRESCHOOL INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE

     

    Folsom School District is looking for a dynamic candidate to assist the preschool and classroom teacher. The candidate should possess the qualities to  help students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education; and maintain positive relationships with parents and other staff members.

     

    This position will be available for the 2024-2025 school year.

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Elementary Teacher Certification, County Substitute Certification, or minimum 60 college credits.
    • Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status

     

    REPORTS TO:  Superintendent

     

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

     

    1. Provide direct instruction of students under direct supervision of teacher.

    2. Conduct instructional activities assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups for the purpose of practicing and/or reinforcing learning concepts and assisting students in reaching their academic goals and grade-level standards.

    3. Implement, under the supervision of assigned teacher, instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of assisting the teacher in improving students’ academic success.

    4. Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials.

    5. Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.

    6. Assist teacher with administrative records and preparation of required reports.

    7. Function as an appropriate role model for children, providing proper examples, emotional support, and a friendly attitude and general guidance.

    8. Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom, and/or during special area classes.

    9. Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
